Customization

Home Template Guidelines Customization

The UMD Terp Theme and the Drupal system itself come with various options to customize the look and feel of a site.

Basic Site Settings

Change basic site information such as site name, email address, slogan, default front page, and error pages.

Theme Specific Settings

The UMD Terp theme comes with a number of options to tailor the site to your organization’s needs from setting a custom logo to dictating social media accounts.

Main Menu Options

While Adding a page to the Main Menu can be completed from the page itself, it’s sometimes easier to get a broader view of all the pages that are accessible from a site’s main navigation.

Caution, this can break your site: Changing these settings will break links to pages and other content if you are not familiar with the overall structure of your site, and how a website’s hierarchy works in general.

Footer Navigation Options

Along with the UMD Terp Footer Settings that make it possible to customize your site’s contact information and social media channels, you can also add a menu of links right above that contact information. These links, like the rest of the footer, will appear on every page of your site. This is a perfect space for links to a contact form or sites affiliated with your organization.
