Basic pages, like this page, are great for sharing more detailed information like a site's About page, Resources pages, Photo Gallery, etc. These pages support very similar features as a Home page does, with a few extra options, such as a sidebar, and an alternative Hero Image layout.

This Internal Page is a "child" of the Basic Pages, which is accessible from the main navigation. Setting a page as a child of another Parent page can be done from the Menu Settings in Advanced panel while editing a particular page (Advanced users familiar with Drupal development can also access main menu settings from the structure tab in the admin bar).

The UMD Terp Person layout provides space to share or promote important information for individuals in your school, department or unit. With the "People" section, any page can showcase those individuals, or can be used to create a site's Faculty/Staff directory.

What are Articles?

Your organization might differentiate between "blog posts", "statements", "press releases", or many other types of editorial content. The UMD Terp Theme simplifies all this by calling them all "articles" using the UMD Terp Article layout.
